I've been tattooing for 3 years. I recently graduated with a bachelor's in fine art, specifically in illustration, at Columbia College Chicago after transferring from the American Academy of Art. I decided to open a studio in my hometown, hoping to give people a way to express themselves and treat themselves to a little therapy or commemorate a trip.
Growing up in a small town, I know very well how much of an inconvenience it is to have to drive 2 hours to do anything fun. I wanted to add something to our town to help it grow/evolve and at that it helps me share my passion with others.
The shop is called Corazon Tatudo, symbolizing the way people leave a mark on your heart and how it can hurt and also cause happiness. It's very similar in the sense that it leaves a mark that tells your story, your character, or your creativity. it makes us unique.
